Packing on muscle and strength

Ii am 33 years old I’m a type 1. I’m getting back into training again. I’m taking my protiens plus creatine. I’m trying to add on more muscle and strength so I can lift heavier and do more reps. I am having a hard time doing so. I need some help. Please let me know Thank you
