Weight Loss and Muscle Gain

I have been reading many articles about weight training. Most articles give diets for gaining weight. I on the other hand would rather lose weight. Do you know of any good diet plans that you can gain muscle mass while losing excess body fat. I try to do a 3 mile run every day. Are there any other cardio exercises I could throw in? The 3 mile run doesn’t seems to be enough to lose weight and get toned.

A daily 3 mile run is no joke! You need to hit the weights too though to meet your goals. Dont be scared to train for power in the gym. Muscle is anabolic. Do some of the major lifts. deadlifts, squats, cleans, rows and bench.

As for diet, keep protein center stage!
