hammer curls

I’ve seen hammercurls done two ways, keeping your fists straight up and down during the curl and crossing in front of the chest, is one better than the other?

I think the range of motion is a little less when in front of the body so it is a little easier. Also, I would think it would use more delt/shoulders that way.

Hammers are a good tool for a bis workout but I dont think it is worth more than 3 sets. I personally like to super set heavy (and a little sloppy) hammers, with light weight/higer rep/ fast speed dumbbell curls… gives a great pump. Try it on a friday night before you go out!
