Nutritional Pre workout

I heard that eating apples is a good pre workout food because of its benefits of polyphenols. whats your take f this is good or if there are others you would suggest

To be honest what I have found to be MOST beneficial pre-workout is whey protein and healthy fats, not carbs. I find this allows for better focus, more stable blood sugar levels, improved muscle contractions and better control over body fat. The only exception I have to this rule is if one train first thing in the morning right after breakfast. In THIS case some whey protein and an apple or other slow carb like oatmeal would be a good choice.
