Workout Routine

Hello, I need some advice for a workout routine I am coming up with. My friend and I are having a 90 day contest on workingout, and I would love to have your advice. I am a beginner so it won’t be that intense until later on. So I plan on exercising 6 Days a week, and focus on only certain parts of the body, not a full body workout: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (Chest or Abdominal Workouts) Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday (Jogs for 1 mile but increase every 2 weeks) After every month I plan on switching the workout to shock the muscles. I watch and keep track of what I eat everyday so that I can get the right foods and the right amount of calories a day (2,500). Is this a good enough routine that I will see improvements within the 90 days, or should I change it up? Please email me at this email: Sammy312004@yahoo.com Thank you,

Billy

Not sure why you don’t work your entire body? Is this just a best chest and abs contest? When you lay out a 90 day program you need to observe results every 2 weeks and decide how well things are going. If progress is awesome, then stay on the same track, but if you are not losing fat fast enough you know you need to either lower calories or increase your cardio. With the weights you should change the program every 3 weeks or so. You can keep the exercises the same, or similar, but try a new rep range or decrease rest between sets. You just need to keep things profgressive.
