Will Half Marathon training reverse or stop muscle gains?

Hi Lisa,

Will training and participating in a half marathon stop or reverse muscle gains? I am currently 185 lbs 6' tall and I am looking to turn the fat I have into lean muscle. I have a started a regimented lifting routine (5 days per week) and I have recently gotten serious about my nutrition.

Should I add more calories to my diet now that I am running?


You should be ok, if you up your macros in your diet. Make sure you are eating enough protein, eating good carbs before and after you run, and try to keep up with a consistent lifting routine.
