Fused back

I was born with a medical condition Kyphosis, which I had several back surgeries and just recently, I have had surgery where I have screws going up and down my fused spin.I have cleared with the doctor before on the conditioning and strengthening of my back and legs and he seems to be okay with me doing this type of training. However, with my back being fused I cannot bend my middle back. If I am able to do this type of training, can the exercises be adaptive to my condition?

I assume many leg exercises are what you are asking about. Stick to the smith machine and vertical leg press for legs vs squatting where a slight arch is necessary for technique and or watch this video. http://www.workouttrainer.com/home/videos/workout-101-squatting-with-a-bad-back
