Training after injury- lateral raises

Hello, Around 10 weeks ago i was diagnosed having lateral epichondylitis (tennis elbow) and have been receiving physiotherapy for this. Recently i have been introducing light weight training again for upper body as the elbow is improving. During a shoulder workout, i cannot find an exercise in place of dumbell lateral raises for lateral shoulder work as this is the only exercise where my elbow as it is fully extended, seems to lock. Can you suggest any other exercises for building shoulders lateral aspect that might be easier on the elbow.?

Thanks

Internal and external rotation using a elastic band is a great pre and post rehab movement. Stay away from actual free weights for now and start using an elastic resistance. Watch this video for a demo. http://www.workouttrainer.com/home/videos/workout_101_3_ways_to_side_laterals
