Sets with alternating reps

In some of the workouts in the trainer it recommends doing alternating arms, legs etc. Is it saying to do that number of reps for each arm or leg in alternates ( ie: 3sets of 12reps alternating, so I would perform each movement 12 times each side) or do you recommend doing each movement 6 times each side to obtain my 12 rep count? Slightly confused which is better.

Yes. you must do each leg or arm separately alternating but doing the number of reps performed on each side. I know it will kick your butt, but that’s the point of unilateral training. in this case 12 reps on either side for a grand total of yes 24 reps.
