Dealing with injuries

Just wondering if you have any tips/tricks for dealing with common injuries associated with weight training? I pulled, or strained, my right front delt muscle yesterday. I’m not going to do any upperbody for the rest of the week but I did still want to come in for lower body, abs, cardio etc. Should I totally avoid the gym altogether until I’m 100%? It’s pretty bad at the moment, I can’t even lift my right arm up past my upper peck without experincing a pain level of 6/10.

Honestly I would go to the doctor and ask them as I am not there to examine what your mechanism for injury is. If you can do other exercises then I would suggest doing them if you can, but its all on your tolerance. How did you hurt yourself?
