Barbell Military Shoulder Press

The barbell Shoulder or Military Press is a great way to get strong and develop muscle in your shoulders. There is much debate about pressing from behind the neck which I only recommend if you are trying to achieve the round boulder look to your shoulders. If this is your goal then make sure to never perform behind the neck barbell presses with heavy weight as it can lead to poor technique and that can lead to injury. Although I myself occasionally perform the exercise from behind the neck my favorite way to emphasize the otter or lateral delts is to use dumbbells. The Standard shoulder press from the front as in the video emphasizes more of the front or anterior parts of the delts and in this case you can press for heavy loads or weight.
