Sometimes you need to re-think the way you can stay motivated together

Spending time with your loved one is a necessary part of developing a healthy relationship...

however, an over-sized, diet-destroying dinner followed by a motionless 3 hour movie is not exactly healthy for developing the lean physique you strive so hard for.

And this is even more true for those of you who can not resist the greasy popcorn or giant $9.00 box of candy during your movie. So what is the solution here? "Dinner and a movie" has been the the go-to date night for so many couple for so long, sometimes its hard to think of anything else to do.

Here are my top 5 healthy, fun and inexpensive date ideas for you love birds out there who want to have a fun with out sabotaging all your hard work at the gym.

1. Take a hike!

Find the nearest trails on a hill, mountain, canyon, or beach, and be adventurous! You can make a day our of it, and pack a lunch and/or healthy snacks to munch on while you explore.You will have fun together enjoying nature all while getting a good workout!

2. Life's a Beach!

A day at the beach is always fun, so why not make it a date! You are likely to eat less when you are in those board shorts or bikini, so portion control will already be easy! Plus, the beach is a great place to run around, play volleyball, or go for a swim! A beach date is a romantic way to have fun, be active, and spend time with your date.

3. Whats for dinner?

Spend the evening creating your own healthy and delicious dinner, then enjoy it together by candlelight...very romantic. You can take a cooking class, or get creative in your own kitchen. Cooking together can be super fun, plus, you can monitor exactly what your putting in your body.

4. Just dance!

Dancing is a great way to have fun, work off dinner, and get a little closer with your date! Sign up for a dance lesson for couples, like salsa, tango, or swing. If you already have the moves, get dressed up and go to a club! Have fun gettin' down with your bad self dancing the night away!

5. Laughter is the best medicine!

Have you ever laughed so hard that your abs start aching? Go to a comedy club, and both of you can relax and laugh together. Plus, its hard to stuff your face with fatty foods or high calorie drinks when your cracking up. You will have lots of fun and even have jokes to laugh about on future dates.

So get out there, mix it up, and have some fun on your dates! Don't get stuck in the same old habit and boring date night routine! Instead of letting your fling make you fat, help each other to be healthy and happy and every date!
